Another Successful Sportive!

On Saturday, Re-Cycle held its annual Charity Sportive in partnership with VCR Cycling Club Colchester, proudly sponsored by Weldtite.

With beautiful sunshine throughout the day, 127 riders took on our Essex & Suffolk countryside routes, with the majority choosing the challenging 64-mile route.

We were thrilled to see the event continue to grow this year, with 127 riders taking part and an impressive 118 signed up before the morning of the event.

Together, riders helped raise over £3,400 to support Re-Cycle’s work!

The event was made possible thanks to fantastic support from Re-Cycle staff, volunteers and trustees, many of whom also took part in the ride.

We were also delighted to welcome riders from local cycling clubs including VCR Cycling Club Colchester, Colchester Rovers, Wivenhoe Cycle Club, North Essex Velo, Tiptree Velo, Hornchurch Cycle Club and Tendring Cycle Club.

After crossing the finish line, riders were welcomed back to Re-Cycle HQ with plenty of cake, tea and coffee, along with finisher medals to celebrate their achievement.

A huge thank you to everyone who rode, volunteered, supported and helped make the day such a success while raising vital funds for Re-Cycle’s work.
