Care Providers Foundation
Re-Cycle has been working with the Care Providers Foundation (CPF) for over 15 years to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Zambia. CPF, formerly known as Kaloko Trust Zambia, works alongside local partners to improve access to essential resources including food, water, healthcare, education, and income opportunities.
Through this long-standing partnership, bicycles play a vital role in supporting sustainable development projects that create lasting change for those who need it most.

The Work We Support
Girls’ Education
Bicycles help improve access to education for girls, enabling them to travel to school more consistently. CPF also supports girls with essential resources such as sanitary products, helping reduce barriers to attendance and promoting gender equality in education.
Community Development
Re-Cycle supports CPF’s wider community development work by providing bicycles and resources for essential projects, including maintaining boreholes, supporting schools with materials, and helping educators deliver better learning environments.
Training for Bicycle Mechanics
We support CPF in training local bicycle mechanics, equipping them with the skills needed to repair and maintain bicycles. This builds self-sufficiency within communities and ensures bicycles remain in use for many years.
Project Objectives
Improving Access to Education
Bicycles help remove distance as a barrier to schooling, improving attendance and creating better learning opportunities for students.
Promoting Girls’ Education
By reducing travel challenges and supporting menstrual health needs, the programme helps girls stay in education throughout the year.
Increasing Local Income
Community bicycle sales and related activities help generate income that supports wider development projects and strengthens local economies.
Building Local Capacity
Training mechanics and community workers ensures long-term skills development and sustainable bicycle maintenance within local communities.
Be part of the journey
A bicycle is more than transport — it is access, opportunity, and independence.
By supporting Re-Cycle and CPF, you help provide bicycles, training, and community resources that change lives across Zambia.
