Location: Wormingford, Colchester, Essex
Re-Cycle is the largest bicycle charity in the UK, collecting unwanted bicycles and sending them to partners in Africa to transform lives. Since 1997, we have sent over 170,000 bicycles to Africa to help children and adults gain access to affordable transportation.
The Trust Fundraiser is a key role within our Fundraising Team. The main purpose of the role is to grow and sustain income from Trust and Foundation funders, manage Re-Cycle’s extensive portfolio of funders, and research and source new funders as appropriate.
You will be responsible for:
- Composing and submitting applications to new and existing funders to increase income
- Managing all reporting for successful applications
- Acting as the main point of contact for relationship management with trusts and foundations
- Supporting the Fundraising and Marketing Manager in all other aspects of marketing and fundraising
This role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative orientation and confident, robust working practices.
About you
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to think creatively.
- You have experience of writing strong, compelling cases for support, and of building and sustaining relationships with trusts and foundations to increase donor support.
- Above all, you have a passion for Re-Cycle’s work, a commitment to our values, and a willingness to learn new skills in line with your own professional development.
- You enjoy working collaboratively and proactively in a small, friendly team.
This is a hybrid role, combining working at Re-Cycle’s office in Wormingford, near Colchester, with home working.
