With a reliable bike, people can travel farther and faster to reach their place of work, tend to their farms, and take goods to market. This saves hours every day, reduces physical exhaustion, and makes it possible to carry heavier loads. The extra time and energy allow people to be more productive, earn more income, and better support their families.
Bikes are especially valuable during planting and harvesting seasons, when transporting crops quickly can mean the difference between a good income and significant loss.

Ghana
In rural farming communities in Ghana, many families struggle to transport their harvest from the fields to their homes or local markets. Through a combined school project and farmers’ initiative, our partner distributed bicycles to 30 farmers and 10 artisans. The results were immediate — farmers could move produce more efficiently, reduce spoilage, and increase their earnings.
